After attending their first event with the H. Ray Taber Foundation in Fresno, the Hydrology Club at UCSB returned for another Annual Free Drill Class at Taber Ranch in Yolo County. The Taber Foundation presented a hands-on "day of discovery" centered on drilling methods for geotechnical analyses, environmental monitoring, and groundwater development. The event brought professional engineers, environmental scientists, and geologists together with students, offering the Hydros ample opportunity for networking. The knowledge and relationships that the Hydros gained at the Drill Class helped bridge their education to the professional world.
