ES students Samantha Ross and Jillian Fischer publish pieces in Civil Eats

Environmental Studies students Samantha Ross and Jillian Fischer recently published op-eds on the food systems news site, Civil Eats. Ross's piece about California’s crab culture came out in June, and Fischer's piece on community canneries ran in October. Ross and Fischer originally wrote these pieces for an assignment in ES 149: Food, Agriculture, and the Environment, which partnered with Civil Eats to guide students in writing commentaries.
